Dr. Lane graduated from Virginia Tech in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction. After two years in that industry, he decided his calling was to be a podiatrist, and attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, graduating Class Valedictorian in 1997. From there, he went on to complete a three-year surgical residency at Inova Fairfax and Georgetown University Hospitals.

Dr. Lane went on to practice podiatry in Northern Virginia for 15 years, earning Washingtonian Magazine’s “Top Experts in Sports Medicine” honors in 2010. Dr. Lane has been a regular columnist since 2016 for Miles & Minutes, the Richmond Road Runners Club’s official newsletter, providing articles on running footwear and running injuries.
Dr. Lane resides in Woodlake, Virginia, with his wife and two daughters Dr. Lane enjoys cooking, walking along the beautiful trails, kayaking on the lake, and running for leisure and fitness. Dr. Lane has been an avid competitive runner since his childhood growing up in Ridgewood, New Jersey, earninig a nomination by The New York Road Runners Club for Male Junior Runner of the Year in 1980. He ran track and cross-country at Ridgewood High School and in college for Virginia Tech, and continued competitive running as a masters runner, winning age-group and even overall awards. Dr. Lane has completed three marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 2002.
Dr. George Lane, DPM graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction in 1989.

Degree study consisted of two years of didactic courses and two years of clinical training.
Dr. Lane graduated as the Class Valedictorian in 1997.

Dr. Lane, DPM received surgical training in Forefoot and Rearfoot/Ankle Reconstruction.

Dr. Lane has special interests in sports medicine related to the foot and ankle. He specializes in custom orthotic production. In addition, Dr. Lane dedicates most of his practice to the treatment of our geriatric community.
