Dr. John Swangim is a podiatric surgeon who primarily focuses on lower extremity deformities, wound care and is skilled in both elective and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. Utilizing the latest aesthetic techniques Dr. Swangim specializes in minimally invasive bunion and hammertoe surgical procedures.

Dr. Swangim received his medical degree in podiatric medicine from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He is trained in both ankle and foot care. He is board certified in foot surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle surgery.
He has special interests in minimally invasive (small incision) foot and ankle surgery, diabetic wound care, surgery, sports medicine and biomechanical treatments. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, mountain climbing as well as traveling with his wife Tammie and visiting their daughter Sarah and her family in Midlothian.
