Nurse Practitioner Gernita Lee grew up in Newport News, Virginia, where she relocated to the Richmond area. After graduating from J. Sargeant Reynolds with an Associate’s in Nursing, NP Lee pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and returned once more, where she obtained her Master’s in Acute Care Adult Gerontology Certification. NP Lee is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiology, acute care, gerontology, vascular surgery, and pain management, with additional certification in palliative care. In addition to her specializations, NP Lee is an experienced provider in the inpatient hospital, outpatient clinical, and home settings.
NP Lee has emphasized patient education, advocacy, and care throughout her career. As a result, NP Lee has been recognized with various service awards in nursing, has mentored new NPs, and was an instructor in nursing for a local community college and adjunct staff. She is excited to be part of the Achilles Foot and Ankle family, where she can continue her passion as a provider focusing on treating the whole person.
